Psolenoid's Dynamic Linking Architecture
Over the past few days we’ve received an overwhelming amount of interest and feedback on Psolenoid. Thank you to everyone who has activated Psolenoid and given us such great feedback. Your feedback is very important to us in the development of Psolenoid so keep it coming!
I would like to take this opportunity to talk a little more about Psolenoid’s unique architecture and why it matters. Unlike existing blog communication methods that provide ways for bloggers to leave *static* links back to their posts on other bloggers’ posts, Psolenoid facilitates an embedding of *dynamic* links. This means that, instead of directly embedding actual links, Psolenoid—through its interface—displays links pulled dynamically from the Psolenoid server. This fundamental difference in architecture allows us to do many cool things. For example, it provides an option to wipe out all existing wires from spammer accounts in one fell swoop. And while we aren’t currently monitoring for spammers, our centralized architecture will make it very easy for us to remove them should it be brought to our attention. Moreover, as a user you have more control over all the connections you have made. Unlike static link-backs, which cannot be removed once established, you can always easily delete your wired connection with other blog posts. There are a lot more features that we plan to come up with on this, so please stay tuned.
That said, we are still in the process of implementing the features that can bring out the full potential of our architecture. We are just getting started and are very excited to have you with us on our journey. The blogosphere as a universe of valuable distributed entities definitely has an unimaginable potential to change the world. We want to help by providing the communications method that can bring you improved connectivity and much higher visibility.
